„They are still selling the NV Bioma Vinha Velha Crusted Port that was bottled in 2014, before they certified it as organic (Bioma is the organic range), and comes from a strange category that not many producers make. It matured in oak for two or three years, but you have to wait for the bottles to throw a sediment, which takes at least three years. It’s a blend of two or three vintages, and it turns into a lighter style of Vintage, with more oomph than LBV, very good value for money. It comes with 88 grams of sugar, has a bit of earthiness and still feels young, as it’s evolving at a slow pace. I’d wait to pull the cork, because I like the perfume and complexity it develops with more years in bottle. 7,500 bottles were filled in 2014.”
