They have released a small batch of the exceptional 1968 White Colheita Port, which shows a paler color than the 2012 (how to explain that?) with a bright tint, clear and clean. It has a complex note that is nutty and floral, with a hint of varnish, much subtler and more elegant than the younger version I tasted next to it. It has a very elegant palate that is dense, round and velvety, with pungent flavors and huge persistence. This is terribly elegant, to me the giveaway for old white Ports. This is exceptional. This was bottled in 2022, and they only produced some 1,000 bottles.
