„The 2017 Ultreia was produced with grapes from slate soils in the zone of Ponferrada and perhpas with more grapes from Valtuille de Abajo, as there was frost in Ponferrada. So, this year is unusual and could be 50/50, but in 2018, it will be again 100% Ponferrada. There is quite a lot of Gancha Tintorera (Godello that is used for the white) and a small percentage of other varieties; the Garnacha Tintorera provides freshness, and in some years there is even an herbal twist. In this 2017, there is even a note of orange peel that I associate with freshness. This is quite classical, without the generosity of some 2017s. They usually bottle before the summer, but the 108 was still unbottled because of a small delay, and then there was the lockdown. This was bottled in November 2019. 5.000 bottles produced.”
